The server did go down for a short while but all should be fine now.
Also, that email address works if you are having problems with the forums too. Most problems are easily solved, we just need to know what they are. 😉

I am wondering why I cannot log onto the forum site either through , “Join the converstion” or at my own personal email where I have personal messages. Is there something going on right now?

The word from ServerGuy is that there is a wayward module in the software causing an excessive load on the database. So, if you know what that means, you are enlightened! If you don’t know what that means, join the club! And join me in a moment of Zen as we watch the snow fall…

Like you, many of us are dismayed and disappointed that our Governor who campaigned for open, transparent government, who welcomed an investigation and who called on us to hold her accountable, has turned out to be more talk than action.
We expect a formal report on our investigation when we get to Juneau in January. I, for one, am looking for answers to the discrepancies between the Personnel Board and the Legislative investigations, and I want action taken against those who defied subpoenas.

WordPress is an imperfect kind of thing. We’re using 2.7 which still has not been released to the public but is in beta mode. Every day they have a revised build of it which we’re supposed to upgrade to. Of course when you do that you lose all the settings you spent some hours carefully putting in (this I only found out yesterday) and you also run the risk of the version you were running before you upgraded being better than the one you just upgraded to, or them accidentally breaking things with the changes they have made.
Last night we were trying a new plugin (wp-cache was the one we were using but that isn’t being developed and wp-super cache is being worked on daily along with 2.7 so we wanted to use that) and it seemed to cause a big crash. But thinking about it now, maybe it wasn’t the plugin – maybe it was the daily upgrade which we had done just before hand.
It is now no wonder to me that the release date for this software was a month ago and it still has not been released. I am just hopeful they can fix it to a point where it works, else it will be back to wordpress 2.3.3 for us.
