Palin Praises Obama’s Energy Plan!?!

11 09 2008

Unbelievable! Check out this press release from Governor Sarah Palin’s office.

Fairbanks, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin today responded to the energy plan put forward by the presumptive Democratic nominee for President, Illinois Senator Barack Obama.

“I am pleased to see Senator Obama acknowledge the huge potential Alaska’s natural gas reserves represent in terms of clean energy and sound jobs,” Governor Palin said. “The steps taken by the Alaska State Legislature this past week demonstrate that we are ready, willing and able to supply the energy our nation needs.”

In a speech given in Lansing, Michigan, Senator Obama called for the completion of the Alaska natural gas pipeline, stating, “Over the next five years, we should also lease more of the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska for oil and gas production. And we should also tap more of our substantial natural gas reserves and work with the Canadian government to finally build the Alaska natural gas pipeline, delivering clean natural gas and creating good jobs in the process.”

Governor Palin also acknowledged the Senator’s proposal to offer $1,000 rebates to those struggling with the high cost of energy.

“We in Alaska feel that crunch and are taking steps to address it right here at home,” Governor Palin said. “This is a tool that must be on the table to buy us time until our long-term energy plans can be put into place. We have already enjoyed the support of Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, and it is gratifying to see Senator Obama get on board.”

Wow. I am floored. I mean, Palin has been bashing Obama mercilessly. She’s not only belittled him, she’s even mocked community organizers during her snarky finger-pointing stump speeches. And now she’s gratified and pleased at his policy proposals?? Why the turnaround? What could possibly have happened?

Oh…wait.

(palms on face)

I’m sorry everyone. I am SO embarrased. This press release was issued LAST month.

ABC news just released a “breaking news” alert that…” Sarah Palin warns that war may be necessary if Russia invades another country.”

I’m so comforted to know that her experience lead her to that conclusion because Alaska is the closest state to Russia.

BobbyG,

Comparing Palin to merely a reckless risk is like saying she is a twix floating in a chlorinated swimming pool.

I think a better analogy is that she is a fresh new giant ‘elephant’ tird in a kiddie pool and her followers all have lost their sense of smell. However, they like how the warm crap feels on their outer skin. No thinking involved in why they like or even love her, they just like the crap their hearing, seeing and feeling. IMHO of course.

There is a lot of talk and maybe our European neighbors can help us out here that GEORGIA crossed the line and invaded Russia FIRST….that it was GEORGIA who did this and it was over OIL. Can someone confirm for us?

Looking back, I did stoop to scatagorically low levels but I have a definite beef with Palin and I find it helps advil the pain a bit. Since she is not really available to her Alaskan constituents.

The probama supporters in AK (like myself) are bombarded with proPalin shirts, stickers, pins, and people constantly saying, ‘…isn’t it great about Sara?’. How would you like to hear that 12-24 times a day? The relief, I admit is temporary but helps me off the ledge. Great blog by the way.

Someone mentioned yesterday about the lack of McCain signs around. @Southernwoman –

I agree. The sad fact she, singlehandedly, is putting ALL OF OUR CHILDREN at risk. I’m beginning to believe that she really is the terrier from Hell.

You know, I had a hard time but I could ALMOST forgive W for not remembering or even knowing much about the Vietnam War as I don’t expect much from the Village Idiot.

But this is absurd. McCain knows the lashback this could receive – maybe he just remembers all the “good” feelings he received upon coming home. I remember the riots, the street violence, the ANGER that was pulsing through all towns.

I remember the front page section that had who from our hometown had been wounded or killed that day.

I am READY at this point to take the streets. This is just absurd. Just remember she’s of that fringe group that is trying to START Armageddon – I personally think God is not going to be too happy about that little power grab – but nonetheless, if they can’t get it started with Iran, they’ll try anything.

I’m beginning to believe McInsane and Mooselini WANT a US city to be nuked. I want to throw them off the end of that bridge and send them on a dinghy to Russia. That could save thousands, if not millions, of lives.

Her statement about attacking Russia is technically true—if Georgia came into NATO, then Russia attacked again, we’d be obliged to fight Russia. However, a hypothetical like that should NOT be discussed openly. That’s like saying aloud, as vice-president, “If Pakistan blew up India, we’d go to war with them.” Maybe we would, but this is JUST NOT SAID. These are very sensitive diplomatic matters. Nobody saber-rattles so cavalierly. I predict this quote will drive the news tomorrow, and I predict Obama will seize on her incautious comment (possibly pairing it with McCain’s ludicrous, “We are all Georgians!”) to criticize the warmongering of that ticket. Who in this country is eager to start up a fresh war?

Yes, but it seriously its not that big of a deal. Gore liked a few of Bush’s plans before Clinton got him as a running mate in 92.

Hey guys, it really is the economy, stupid!

Following the forced sale of Bear Stearns, other brokerages borrowing at record rates, Ford Motor, etc. lining up for government bail outs we have this…

(New York) Fortune — On Wednesday, Lehman Brothers CEO Dick Fuld offered up a radical plan to save his beleagured firm. Today the capital markets are giving him the thumbs down.

The firm’s announcement that it will sell 55% of its money management franchise, which includes Neuberger Berman, and spin off almost $33 billion in distressed real estate securities has clearly been interpreted as “too little, too late.”

I f I were not so committed to an Obama administration, I would almost wish that McCain would have to handle this problem…and re-institute the draft…and deal with the mortgage crisis…and find a “quick” energy “fix”…and a long term fix….

Nate’s right on this as far as I can see… if Gorgia were a NATO member and if Russia were to invade again, then the US would have to do something as a nation that is party to the NATO pact. This is a win-win question for them – she shows that she knows how NATO works and that she’s prepared to take a tough stance. Whether the US would be leading this hypothetical military defence of Gorgian borders or trying to find a diplomatic alternative I’ll leave for you to decide.

We “obliged” to start a war against Russia. A World Superpower. Who has just signed the Oil Contract with Iraq (which means that also would be a battleground…) but the GA Representative who called Senator Obama is not “obliged” to apologize?

I think we need to consult with Miss Manners. Quick escalation is never a good thing. Diplomacy IS key, and I know of no one (I’m thinking) on the Repugnant side that I believe could represent all of our best interest….you know…it’s a small one. P-E-A-C-E.

My friend put at the top, “Whether you are a republican or a democrat, it is exciting for women and our daughters.”

Man, oh man, I can’t believe this is happening! This woman is such a blatant pandering choice and against EVERYTHING that women have worked for for years…

Excuse me while I go bang my head against the glass ceiling.

I’m sorry, I can’t write anymore. I will try it again.

I should not be “obliged” to do anything if someone else started the skirmish. We should have learned some lessons here by now.

The GA Representative called Senator Obama “uppity” but no one feels “obliged” to enforce HIM to apologize, and that would be so much less violent than this.

It scares me, seriously, because we DON’T have the oil contracts locked up. Russia has been working with China on building an energy program. China is well aware that they cannot rely on the Middle East only for instability reasons (which sounds we love those skirmishes). China is working closely (depending on one’s view) to shore up Africa. Russia just signed an agreement with Venezuela’s Chavez which had oil on the agreement.

@Proud2BUSA… Georgia’s complicated and not a good example here at all. It has two territories that want to declare independence and Russia is the only nation, I believe, to recognise this. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7549736.stm might explain better than I can…

Simpler example… if a NATO state (such as the US) were to invade a non-NATO state (ooo… let’s say Iraq), other NATO members aren’t obliged to join in.

If… ummm… Sweden (not in NATO) were to invade the UK (in NATO) then the US would be expected to provide assistance.

I’m so not interested in watching a scripted interview. I want to see what she does when random questions are thrown at her. Honestly, *I* could learn the answers, if I had the questions, first! It’s acting, and would NOT fly for any other job interview.

Grr…24 hours until payday…I need to donate to Obama! I need my fix!

Remember, SP is Rove’s shiny object. I can be tempted by shiny objects just like the rest of us. So here’s my speech to myself:

Stay focused on McCain. He’s another GWB. Same policies, same bad judgement. Except that this one’s a known hot-head. Don’t be a crow. They love shiny objects. Keep focused on McWorse. SP’s value to the Obama campaign is as an indicator of McBush’s judgement and decision-making. America deserves better than another 4 years of the same Washington as usual people and ideas.

Remember, unless McCain croaks, she can bleat for war all she wants. This time it’ll be the Pres in charge, not the VP. The Repubs don’t have an electable set of policy positions. Americans don’t want 4 more years. All they can throw at voters is shiny objects — SP, lipstick, and whatever comes next. The hard right is hopeless. Facts don’t matter to them. But there are people out there who will listen to reason. They’re the ones we need to get to.

Those shiny objects are eye-catching. But they’re diversions. And best of all, they show us just how desparate the Repubs really are. They know people don’t want what they’re offering this time around. But they also know how to keep us distracted. I fall for it too. It’s a natural reaction.

11 09 2008

To Amused and Bewildered:

I was actually just trying to make a small joke. I can’t imagine SP being “for” much of anything Obama says or does.

I didn’t actually hear this, but someone told me that McCain said recently that SP knows more about energy than ANYONE else in the United States. He must have been joking. Did anyone else hear this?

@Palmdale CA: excellent point, and that is where we try to focus in a daily lives. I’ll have to remember the crow analogy.

@ABritAbroad: one of the core differences here is truly this younger generation. My son has friends from all over the world. Granted, we’ve traveled (so I guess he has enough experience to be the Secretary of State according to Palin Experience Meter) but they are much more sophisticated in how they look at the world than my generation. They are proud to be Americans, but they also, TALK and write and Facebook, their friends in Darfur, Europe, etc. It’s a different genreation. I would hate to see that lost because that is the first hopeful step toward world peace.

@Bobby… I know there were a lot of ifs… that was my point. NATO is a military alliance that has been around for almost 60 years and is well in need of an overhaul. I’m not saying whether it’s a good thing or bad thing.

Don’t let this distract you from the other issues because what Palin said tonight was perfectly acceptable for the US’s current military commitment to NATO. (Albeit a perfectly scripted response). It was also more than acceptable to the international press who will be watching – they’ve been waiting to hear her speak for how many days now…???

Go for Troopergate, go for the women’s issues – go for the stuff that she actually has a personal stance on, one that hasn’t been spoon-fed to her. Please!!!

I got this earlier. Best one I’ve seen so far.

I’m a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight…..

· If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you’re

“exotic, different.”

· Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, a quintessential American

story.

· If your name is Barack you’re a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

· Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you’re a maverick.

· Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.

· Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you’re well

grounded.

· If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the

first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter

registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years

as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator

representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of

the state Senate’s Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years

in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people

while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs,

Environment and Public Works and Veteran’s Affairs committees, you

don’t have any real leadership experience.

· If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city

council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000

people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people,

then you’re qualified to become the country’s second highest ranking

executive.

· If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while

raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you’re

not a real Christian.

· If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your

disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you’re a

Christian.

· If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including

the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

· If , while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no

other option in sex education in your state’s school system while your

unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant , you’re very responsible.

· If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in

a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city

community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family’s values

don’t represent America’s.

· If you’re husband is nicknamed “First Dude”, with at least one DWI

conviction and no college education, who didn’t register to vote until

age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession

of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

OK, much clearer now.

Since SP is such an energy expert, at least according to McCain, has anyone found anything about HER energy policy that might be applicable on a national level. I see Drill, Baby, drill. I see ANWR and the nat gas pipeline to Canada’s oil sand fields. Anything at all to do with anything renewable? I can understand that with six months a year of darkness, solar might not be real attractive. What about wind, hydro, tidal, geothermal? Any possibilities there?

I searched and searched for her energy speech to the governors, then found it was another Cheney-type closed event.

One last point on Georgia then, before we leave that for this evening: Georgia launched a military attack to “subdue” rebels in a Georgian region that wants to be independent. The rebels have Russian backing, so Russia went in to “help” the rebels. As I said, Russia has now recognised the breakaway territory as an independent state, unlike most of the international community. It has troops in there and some over the “border” to Georgia.

This is my understanding of it anyway…

11 09 2008
ENOUGHwiththetrainwreck

what is a lie?

for me — a lie is completely separate from statements based on incomplete knowledge – a lie is a very narrow category of social behavior that is criminal and flat wrong and goes to define the basic character of the person.

beyond that narrow definition we have misstatements, unfounded allegations, etc etc…………that actually describe the complexity of the person especially their judgement — how little or how much information they require before placing their name and reputation behind a statement. and on their reliability when found to have made a statement and shown its inconsistencies or whathaveyou……….how that person reacts to new information – whether they continue to stand on their first impression or change with the data………and how much they dive in and begin to vet and challenge both their original sources and the new sources……..this to me is measure of the person’s desire to engage in deep discussion.

character. judgement. desire to engage.

this is the progression of finer and finer measurement of how a person uses communication to cause effect.

and in the first 30 seconds of her ABC interview she lied. to herself and to the world. it completely pisses me off. i have lived 47 years as a woman for this moment. what a freaking letdown of the grandest scale.

OMG. This is not as bad as I thought it might be. My head is spinning right now! I’m going to have to read the transcript to decipher the whole thing.

Let’s put it this way — in the first segment it’s clear that although Sarah Palin is a dedicated Republican who thinks she’s ready to be President, she doesn’t know what the Bush doctrine is.

Charlie Gibson used this phrase as she attempted to insert what she does know as an answer and twist it to accomodate the question.

re: “Whether you are a republican or a democrat, it is exciting for women and our daughters.”
yes, it is very exciting that if pain gets elected that all women including “our daughters and grand daughters” will be able to get first rate back-alley coat hanger abortions, and they will benefit from unequal pay for equal work, and that they we will have a role model that will lift their aspirations to also have men wear buttons and t-shirts praising them entirely on their physical beauty-brilliant!

if you want to know the truth about what this ticket will mean for women go here:

@Palmdale “renewable energy sources”

http://www.cftc.gov/stellent/groups/public/@aboutcftc/documents/file/2009budgetperf.pdf – try this link.

There is a lot of activity trying to get the U.S. Government to understand the CRITICALITY of alternative energy. It’s a real break (albeit 5-7 years later) to get T. Boone to sponsor the current ads. He and Bill Clinton spoke recently at an Energy Conference in Nevada, and if we could have that type of bi-partisanship sponsorship, this country could get a lot done. Many companies are looking at where their greatest usage of energy occurs – for many, this is their Data Centers and the requisite back-up requirements. People have discussed building wind farms next to large Data Centers, but right now, the technology is just too young. Most of S. America require Car Manufacturers to build vehicles with multiple fuel sources. We could do this TODAY in the States – the problem is that there are only a few places across the country to fill ‘er up! With IKE staring down Houston, it’s a real hit on the oil industry and depending on the size of that storm, it may heavily incent the government to more quickly respond to alternative sources. We need to do something. China needs to do something. Of course, if Sister Sarah causes a Nuclear Winter, we won’t need to do anything . . . enjoy!

@NancyIndiana – depending on how much furor you would like to incent, I would even go a step further. I would ask mothers if they agree that their young daughter REGARDLESS of age should not be able to get an abortion if she is raped. I would ask mothers if they agree if the young girl down the street has a pediophile uncle and he rapes her that that is okay.

In essence, that is what was promoted (unconsciously maybe) by the Republican Party when it accused Obama of writing a bill to teach sex ed to kindergartners. That bill was actually designed to help young children understand what’s not an acceptable “touch” (I researched that) from anybody. So what I took away when I connected the dots was that it was okay for Uncle Phil to rape his 10-year-old niece (the bill that didn’t get passed but the one that the Republican Party made fun of…) but it’s not okay for that 10-year-old girl to get an abortion. Is that what they mean by “FAMILY FIRST”?

Here is another link. This is an older one but Bush REALLY touted this initiative, AND THE BUDGET WAS CUT before it ever started. The ’09 is really cut to almost nothing. Like I said, there is some money in the budget, but nowhere near what is needed to get some of the work into public domain. I’m sure there are several sites that have later data – somewhere, there has to be a doc from Harvard about the budget cycle and what happened to energy. It would be good to compare what he has done in order of importance and what Palin regards as important. Does she geothermal?

We all should watch the video again of SP at the AOG Church speaking about our leaders sending the military on a task that is from God and then watch the ABC interview segment with SP where she states she was only referencing Lincoln. This is all BS cover after the fact. It’s easy to hear what she said at the church, every word. There were no hidden references to anything other than the words she used and the singular meaning of those words.

“The National Hurricane Center is forecasting a 20-foot surge — a rapid rising of water inundating areas and moving inland — for a large swath of Texas and the Louisiana coasts. Above that, the center predicts “large and dangerous battering waves.” Waves could be 50 feet tall, said hurricane center spokesman and meteorologist Dennis Feltgen.”

“The U.S. Geological Survey on Thursday sent five teams to the Texas and Louisiana coast installing 80 storm surge devices to measure the flood to come, McGee said.”

Sounds like something out of the bible. I hope the death toll will not top 9/11. Galveston Island might be swept clean. In any case the whole coast is going under water. Not a river flood-under moving water with 50′ battering waves and howling winds and rain? Please people, move far inland now. There are not even any hills along that coast, its all flat and low, just a few feet above sea level.

Sorry to go off topic, but this really is about national security. What if Ike were the Russian Navy massing in the Gulf, would McCain people focus on that? For those who mouth off about every disaster being a message from God, how are you going to spin this one? Keep America safe from mother mature: NUKE the HURRICANE?

New add-Obama is weak on hurricanes. Palin will show him how its done, she’s in charge of the Alaska National Guard. She is sending them to Texas now. Obama and McCain are nothing but senators, what power do they have? Palin is the one we need here. Palin for President. You go girl!

susan asked 15:08:10 Earmarks, pork, yadda yadda, earmarks. I’d love to see a comparison of the cost of the Iraq war vs. total earmarks since the the war began.

i think the total earmarks were 18 billion for 2008 and we are paying 10 billion per month for IRAQ and company. so something like 0.6% of the budget goes to earmarks? or equal to two months in iraq.

i personally don’t care if they get earmarks or not — it is what is done to bargain for the earmarks that is the problem — what is voted for or not voted for to get support for earmarks. that is why if each state is given a particular amount of discretionary funding that is not beholden to vote negotiations – then the power of the earmark goes away (yeah i know i sound naive on that)…..

I read the first page of Palins interview and I have to say….if the way they phrased her words is exactly how she said them, then she is going to be in big trouble when she meets Joe Biden in a debate.

She lied again. We all saw the video of her little speech at the Masters Commission at Assembly of God. She distinctly said the soldiers were going to fight Gods will. Today she tells Charlie she was paraphrasing Abe Lincoln??? WTF?? Perhaps Charlie should have asked her a few more questions about honest Abe. I am Canadian…and I probably know more about him than she does.

I cannot offer her the courtesy of listening to her talk…nor will I read the rest of the article. She is a warmonger.

I found this that also fits: Both sides in debates over war, abortion, gay rights, taxes, and more cite the authority of scripture, religious tradition, and communication from God as part of the basis for their positions. They can’t all be right and it is arguably unlikely that any of them are.

Just a thought,

WHY WOULD THE GOVERNOR OF ALASKA BE FOR A WAR WITH RUSSIA?

Russia might like to annex Alaska and get all that oil and gas.

Just saying.

Of course heightened tensions might mean a big build up of U.S. forces in Alaska to prevent a Russian invasion. Would that benefit Alaska? Might mean a lot of money and government contracts coming in-sort of like the billions to Iraq. Subcontract everything out and I bet there would be money to be made for Alaskans with the right connections.

“Thars gold in them thar hills?”

The cynicism so far in the McCain campaign is getting to me. See what it leads to? Jeeze. How could I stoop to this level. I need some spiritual refreshment.

The last eight years of corruption under the Bush administration are the story not being told. That’s the cover up beneath the McCain/Palin “change” scam.

Keating five: Iraq no bid contracts: Keating Five: Military contractors: Keating Five: Republican war contractors: Keating Five: Clean up from government?
Yes, we republicans can clean up from government-just look at the amount of money we have grabbed hold of in the last eight years? National debt, gotta love it- Keating Five.

We in Alaska feel that crunch and are taking steps to address it right here at home,” Governor Palin said.

I bet all the residents of Alaska are going to be feeling the crunch when they go to the bank to cash their $3,400 checks. Yeah right.

Every time I fill my gas tank, I think about those citizens of Alaska getting those checks, paid with money the gas companies are fleecing out of us.

DeMo (13:50:44) (from a previous thread)

A snippet of Gibson’s interview with Palin. Kudos to him. He asked a question we all want answered. “Are you ready?” What’s unbelievable is that she says she didn’t blink and said yes. That’s good. Didn’t think about if you were up to the challenge. Didn’t think about how it would affect your family – your infant with special needs, your pregnant teen daughter (knowing she would be shoved into the limelight and possibly criticized). Even Gibson says it takes hubris.

Thanks DeMo.

I just read it. Wow! Not a nuanced answer on Georgia and NATO. My first impression is that this woman has apparently never read Barbara Tuchman! Holy S**t! She had better read up on JFK having read “The Guns of August” right before the Cuban Missile Crisis.

http://www.abbottsys.com/reviews.html

If he hadn’t, neither Sarah Heath nor First Dude nor any of the little Palins nor any of us would probably be here now.

Nor, it appears, has she ever read the “March of Folly”.

http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/3086/rev_tuchmanb.html

Looks like they never covered Rehoboam and the “brash young men” in the Bible down at Wasilla Bible Church either regarding the fall of the Northern Kingdom of Israel! Tuchman has a famous riff on that bit of Biblical history in her book.

Things aren’t looking off to a good start folks… things aren’t looking off to a good start at all…

But someone here in the Mud did call it earlier this week. She DID skillfully work in her son’s public deployment to Iraq on 9/11 to choke everyone up. Good call. Got to work in the depth psychology of the “story of the binding and sacrifice of Isaac” in her first interview. Has worked great for the last 3,000 years. Wars and rumors of wars.

This thoughtless woman has no idea what she is getting into.

Actually, I just re-read what you wrote and you are wrong. She did tell a lie. There is nothing in the NATO treaty that says that NATO countries HAVE TO go to war against a nation that attacks a NATO nation. If the NATO country attacked first, and the other nation is protecting itself by attacking back, why would any NATO country attack the country that was attacked first?

It is a REAL Interview

As if to quash the emerging news narrative that John McCain is afraid of the press after going a full month without holding a press conference, the Republican nominee’s campaign made the candidate available last night to a local television station in Maine.

If they thought McCain would come under less intensive fire than he would from the national press, however, the campaign was mistaken. Rob Caldwell, a dogged reporter for WCHS, pressed McCain repeatedly on Gov. Sarah Palin’s qualifications for the vice presidency. And while answering, McCain made a number of factual misstatements.

I posted this in Huffington after watching the interview clips:

The beauty pageant is over and so is America’s sick infatuation with Alaskan gov Pitlin.

Charlie was seemingly low key but purposeful. In the end, America got a glimpse of what a horrific mistake that a VP Palin would bring not only to America, but to the entire civilized world. One can easily imagine another Cold War or much worse with Russia and/or Iran under a Palin and McCain rule. Unlike Wasilla or Alaska, Palin’s habit of terminating subordinates takes on much graver consequences on an international stage.

This is not a game. This is not a pageant. This is not about a self aggrandizing junior governor with less than 2 years state-level experience. This is about life and death. This is about our great country’s future.

America, it is in our hands to change our future. Make no mistake about it. Palin/McCain is Cheney/Bush reborn. There is no way around this fact. Deal with it.

Sadly I did not get to see the whole interview. What I did see was very interesting and surprising.

Thank you Mr. Gibson for asking the questions we wanted to hear answers to. Thank you for not letting her get off with side-tracking non-answers. Loved it.

I keep wanting to find something nice about this woman, something that says that she might possibly be qualified for the job, even just a little bit. The thought that McCain, not exactly overly qualified himself, could possibly pick someone so totally out of their league here is just too much. No one in public office could be that uneducated…. could they? Scary stuff that.

I take voting seriously. I believe in researching each candidate as much as possible and then choosing the candidate that would be best for the job. Unfortunately there are just so many idiots that either do not vote or vote strictly party lines. I’ve a brother that votes like that. Party line all the way. Dummy. You could dress up a dog, cat, fish, pig, whatever, call it a Republican and he’ll vote for it cuz that would be better than some commie, pinko bastard, Democrat libtard. I just want to bang my head on the wall. People really are that stupid.

Hopefully this will all be over soon. Ms. Palin can go back to Alaska and be Gov. for however long the people there want her. Mr. McCain can go back to sleep. I’m sure someone will wake him up occasionally to tell him what his position is on any given issue.

Good grief.
