As I sit here chomping Tums, I found this lovely gem from the master of satire Andy Borowitz of the Borowitz Report in my in-box.
Pitbull Owners Blast Palin
Comparison ‘Offensive,’ Dog Fanciers Complain
![]() |
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, who famously compared herself to a pitbull in her vice-presidential acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, appears to have antagonized a key voting bloc in the upcoming election, the nation’s pitbull owners.
While Gov. Palin’s assertion that the only difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull was “lipstick” drew a loud ovation from the Republican faithful in St. Paul, it raised the ire of the Pitbull Anti-Defamation League, a powerful association of pitbull fanciers who monitor the portrayal of pitbulls in the media.
“As someone who has owned pitbulls for the past twenty years, my jaw dropped,” said Carol Foyler, the group’s executive director. “Most of us are thinking the same thing: enough is enough.”
Ms. Foyler said that for pitbull owners who have grown weary of their prized dogs being defamed and mistreated, Gov. Palin’s wisecrack was the last straw: “We’re all like, first the Michael Vick thing, and now this.”
Tracy Klugian, an irate pitbull owner from Buffalo, New York, echoed Ms. Foyler’s sentiments: “I can think of many differences between pitbulls and Gov. Palin – for starters, pitbulls don’t try to get their ex-brothers-in-law fired.”
With Sens. Barack Obama (D-Ill) and John McCain (R-Ariz) fighting for every last vote, a coveted voting bloc like pitbull owners could very well decide the 2008 election, political insiders believe.
While Gov. Palin was not available for comment on the pitbull controversy, a spokesperson for the McCain-Palin ticket offered this official statement: “Gov. Palin does in fact have one thing in common with a pitbull: neither is capable of answering questions from reporters.”

roflmao! Thanks AKMuckraker! I needed that!
Wow, palin wasn’t available for comment? I wonder how the Jewish community is going to react to the anti-Semitic comments made by her guest pastor?
Now that’s funny….
I love this blog and have passed it on to many people, like myself, who are just so upset at what this woman means for our country.
OK. That’s it, AKM. I just spit all over my monitor.
A McCain spokesperson actually said Palin was not capable of answering a reporter’s questions? If this is not a misprint, that spokesperson is probably now out of a job. Too much.
Perfect, thank you dear.
… “a spokesperson for the McCain-Palin ticket offered this official statement: “Gov. Palin does in fact have one thing in common with a pitbull: neither is capable of answering questions from reporters.”
i was finding it hard to swallow that the above is a real quote from a real “spokesperson for the mccain-palin ticket.”
so i googled “sarah palin spokesperson pitbull” and discovered that it originated as fiction in a post at a satirical blog “borowitz report.” it was posted in its entirety at at least one other blog, “fakename2’s weblog,” and picked up unwittingly by huffpo and probably on every street corner from florida to alaska.
as amusing as it sounds, there’s no “there” there.

oh cr@p … am i embarrassed … i didn’t read the fine print at the top of the story …
well, at least others who are as quite to jump to the “head line” will read my clarification.
karen marie:
right below AKM’s title:
“As I sit here chomping Tums, I found this lovely gem from the master of satire Andy Borowitz of the Borowitz Report in my in-box.”
It’s okay Karen Marie, we are all doing the same sort of thing. We automatically fact check right now. XD
Hilarious! What a great way to end the evening. Thank you!
Karen Marie,
The Borowitz Report is mentioned in the introduction of the post…
“Pit Bull Owners Outraged!
As I sit here chomping Tums, I found this lovely gem from the master of satire Andy Borowitz of the Borowitz Report in my in-box.”
Karen, don’t be embarrassed! Be proud of yourself for looking into the matter, yourself! You’re one smart cookie. =)
Karen Marie – Andy Borowitz is a satirist – it’s not a real story.
Priceless!!!
where’s the picture of the pit bull with lipstick?
here’s a piece that you need to read on a different aspect of the irrationality.

Two things are beginning to worry me:
1) We are giving way too much mileage to Palin. Ignoring her won’t make her go away but making her feel inconsequential will. She has “out-juiced” Obama who is beginning to look dull, pedantic and boring (He was Mr Jamba till Miss Baracuda came along) Obama is losing TV viewership. Folks are flippin channels looking for Sarah. They want to be entertained.
2) I hate to say this, but we as a group are beginning to sound “shrill”. I think we should calm down, and follow Teddy Roosevelt’s advice” Speak softly and carry a big stick”.
Please don’t encourage gossip – we are feeding the beast.
Karen Marie: I blew it too. I read the line, but the name did not register with me. I must be getting too old.
But you gotta admit, this is some funny snarky humor.
OT, Don’t people get fired for lying on their resume? If Soccer Mom was presenting her resume at the convention and on the trail and the facts don’t check out, wouldn’t it make sense that she be fired?
Just askin…..
The AZ Republic actually has this front and center on their website.

Pistol-packin’, pork-procurin’ Palin’s pastor blows the whistle:
Palin speaks in tongues (forked?)
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/08/palin.pastor/index.html
Pastor: GOP may be downplaying Palin’s religious beliefs
“For decades, Sarah Palin went to church with people who spoke in tongues and believed in faith healing and the “end times.” …the pastor, Tim McGraw, says he’s sure religion influences Palin’s policy-making.”
To Jojin:
I posted this on the previous thread for Divatalk, but it bears repeating.
I understand your concern but this is an Alaska-based blog, so I think it naturally follows we focus on Sarah Palin. This is where her political roots began and where we hope to find some truth to balance the lies she spouts on the campaign trail.
I also want to say I disagree that talking about Palin is a distraction from bigger issues. Palin is a big issue, and the general election is less than 60 days away. If we don’t quickly find out as much as we can, the Repubs will succeed in pulling a fast one over on all of us that will stick for 4 years.
I think we are vetting Sarah Palin, since McCain clearly did not. I think we may uncover problems big enough to scare away moderate Repubs as well as Independents and undecided voters. This will help Obama win.
What I would love to see, but don’t expect, is that we will discover something unforgiveable in the eyes of most Americans, which will force McCain to drop Palin as his running mate. The chaos that will generate in the Repub party will guarantee an Obama win.
Thus, I don’t think we’re wasting time here talking about Sarah Palin. And I trust that most of us can multi-task, so we can help the Obama campaign while we post on Mudflats, read DailyKos, HuffPo, FaceBook, cook dinner, do laundry, etc.
Oh, and speaking of fact checking, the 62% cut for special needs kids does not pan out. It looked like that was the case at first, and someone even showed the page with the red pen. Funds were reassigned and moved in the budget, but the Director of Covenant House in Anchorage came out with a statement saying that the funds were not cut. Just so everyone knows.
Ds55,
Gotcha – thanks for the clarification. Makes sense…will wait for the big skeleton in the cupboard. I have no doubt there are some.

Ha, that is pretty good!
But on a more serious note, when exactly was that picture taken of the bitch? I can’t tell if she’s pregnant or not.
Sad to say, but the incident described below happened in near Seattle today. We have recently had many pitbull attacks in our area, most involving (even killing) children. I think that’s why I felt my jaw drop when Sarah Palin described herself as a pitbull with lipstick! The picture her words painted in my head was horrifying.
Like many, I would love to see a woman hold one of the highest positions in the country. However, I want that woman to possess the temperament, judgment and qualities of Barack Obama. Sorry for the downer 😦

If McCain loses Florida he is so toast.
The tone of Obama’s response (in the following article) to Palin’s mocking was tough and straightforward
Obama to Palin: ‘Don’t Mock the Constitution’
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/09/08/obama_to_palin_dont_mock_the_c.html
just saw on dkos. story from wash post on palin taking per diem money for staying at home 312 times.
With all due respect to a POW hero, I think McCain has been consumed by his need for the ring (presidency) and in a spiritual sense has become gullom as described in the “Lord of the Rings”:
“As a result of his descent into madness, Gollum speaks in an unusual manner: For example, he uses “we” instead of “myself”, and “us” instead of “me”…His one desire was to possess the ring that had enslaved him…he developed a sort of split personality: One of his inner personalities was “Sméagol” who still vaguely remembered things like friendship and love. The other personality was “Gollum,” a slave to the ring who would kill anyone who tried to take it. In The Two Towers, the good personality was “Slinker” (for his fawning, eager-to-please demeanor), and the bad personality “Stinker” (for obvious reasons).”
A general comment about the polling data — above and beyond the fact that we know there are serious flaws in the sampling…
LOOK AT THE DATES! My daddy taught me to read restaurant menus from right to left — from the price to the description. That’s fine when you’re dating, or even just eating out on a budget. When you look at the Florida polling results, and pay attention to the trends, Obama’s closing in on McCain. Most of the polls that show McCain way ahead were before the Palin nod, before either convention. The trend is positive, not negative. The comments made by pastors (guests or otherwise) in Palin’s church(es) aren’t likely to make her many friends in Florida, especially among the older Jewish voters there, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see the trend continue as word spreads.
I just read that Charlie Gibson is going to cover Sarah Palin’s good-by speech to her son’s military group on September 11th, and then follow her around Alaska for a couple of days including going to Wasilla and Juneau. There is a huge welcome home rally planned for her in Fairbanks. Isn’t that “Special”, and so blatantly unfair?
Alaskans don’t care how crooked our polities are. Senator Ted Stevens just won the primary by a landslide and he’s under indictment! It also looks like Rep. Don Young , who is under investigation, is going to win too. He’s 200+ points ahead before the coming recount. He’s spent over a million dollars on lawyers this past year.
Love it. And even funnier because we know some women who did find her pitbull comment to be sexist and offensive.

Also, my earlier post did not go up, on the KUDO comments. Basically, checking on election protection opportunities for the group and check Bob Herbert’s NYT column about liberals and their legislative record, without which this country would not be what it is today and Gov. Palin would not have been allowed to vote, let alone run for high office!
I saw Bob Woodward promoting his new book on Larry King tonight. He alluded to the “October Surprise” as being the possible capture of Osama bin Laden. I had seen a quick clip on Faux News last week about sending troops into Pakistan?
Q: What’s the difference between a pitbull, and a hockey mom?
A: The pitbull eventually lets the kids go.
Wow, Phil! Let’s hope that Track will be deployed on that mission–we’ll hear about it in real time!
True DowninMississippi
I bet one reason Obama is gaining on McPalin in Florida is the slam-dunk he did at the recent AARP presentation that was webcast. Obama and McCain each did a presentation by satellite to a large room of AARP members. Obama exactly targeted his audience and gave specific details on Social Security, pensions, retirement, medical insurance. He was extremely well received, to the point that people were protesting when his time was over, and he got a standing ovation.
McCain rambled and talked about good schools, gave no details on issues, got seated applause at the end, and dozens of people started walking out as soon as the final applause began. You can watch both presentations at the AARP website here:
http://www.aarp.org/aarp/events/Life_at_50_dc/
Steveo, as much as I will do what I can to get Obama into office, I can’t remain silent when I read things that aren’t true. Maybe Palin is racist, but the “Sambo beat the bitch” comment has been debunked. (Fact #4.)
Blue Idaho, I can’t speak for the Jewish community in its entirety, but the people I know aren’t loving what the Jews for Jesus leader had to say. However, there are those (McCain supporters) who feel that he was a visitor, not her regular religious leader, so there’s a little wiggle room. No wiggle room in my Jewish home.
That being said, I had this discussion with people Friday night, before her current pastor said David Brickner would be welcome in his church again. I will be very curious to hear how these people feel now.
NMJ, now I can go to bed happy. The AARP crowd LOVED Obama. Standing ovation. Chanting his name. Luke warm applause for McCain and people exiting as soon as they could.
Yep, I’ll sleep well tonight. Ahhhh.
G’night all…
Something I just thought of….
Anyone here heard of Perez Hilton? His gossip blog has *so* many readers that it is unbelievable. Quite a few of them adore him too. And he has been following the election. Almost every new gossipy break that becomes mainstream, he’s pounced on. He may not be the most accurate, but he’s for Obama and has a far reach.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that jazz.
Just a cheerful thought before I lapse into the land of nod.
Night all!
Jojin-your right, lets back away from this stuff and concentrate on the real issues. I can’t believe Obama is spending time arguing about who asked for what earmarks. In the long run it’s a non-issue. Hey gang guess what, politicians lie. So Palin asked a librarian about book bans – no books were banned from the Wasilla library. She didn’t decrease Special needs funding. She has neither written or enacted a law while gov of AK that pushes anti-abortion or teaching creationism in schools. Just as I was getting caught up in all this, really good and mad, I realized that we are focusing on Palin not McCain and these are the wrong issues. I see Obama headed down the same path. We’re blinded by the light. God how Americans love a good movie. The only truth now is that Palin is a political animal who is willing to say anything to get her ticket elected and she is now the darling of the right, mainstream media and way too many voters. The best we can do is get out there and knock on those doors, raise some more money, call a friend or neighbor that is undecided and let the show go on. Hats off to Mudflats! Clever and thought provoking writing. Vote the issues and good luck.
Anyone hear if what the animal rights group are saying about Palin?

There is an intersting OpEd in today’s Washington Post –
Pulling the Curtain on Palin
By E. J. Dionne Jr.
Tuesday, September 9, 2008; A23
John McCain’s campaign acknowledged this weekend that Sarah Palin is unprepared to be vice president or president of the United States.
Of course, McCain’s people said no such thing. But their actions told you all you needed to know.
McCain, Barack Obama and Joe Biden all subjected themselves to tough questioning on the regular Sunday news programs. Palin was the only no-show. And it’s not just the Sunday interviews. She has not opened herself to any serious questioning since McCain picked her to be next in line for the presidency.
McCain’s advisers clearly don’t trust Palin to answer questions about policy and don’t want her to answer many of the questions that have been raised about her tenure as governor of Alaska.
Rick Davis, McCain’s campaign manager, gave the game away when he said on “Fox News Sunday” that she would not meet with reporters until they showed a willingness to treat her “with some level of respect and deference.”
Deference? That’s a word used in monarchies or aristocracies. Democracies don’t give “deference” to politicians. When have McCain, Obama, Biden or, for that matter, Hillary Clinton asked for deference?
A few hours later came the announcement that Palin would grant an interview to ABC News’s Charlie Gibson. Recall that Gibson was the co-host of an ABC News debate last April during which Obama faced a relentless pounding. Here’s hoping that a sense of fairness will lead Gibson to be comparably tough on Palin this week. If he treats her more deferentially than he did Obama, we will know that McCain’s war on the media is working.
From the moment Palin was picked, reporters immediately began to ask questions, a lot of them. Because she was so little known outside Alaska, her views on many issues, particularly foreign policy, are a mystery. Voters also need to know how McCain went about reaching what will probably be the most important decision he makes during this campaign.
A week ago, Elisabeth Bumiller of the New York Times cited McCain sources questioning “how thoroughly Mr. McCain had examined her background before putting her on the Republican presidential ticket.” She reported that Palin had been selected “with more haste than McCain advisers initially described.” (She also mistakenly reported that Palin belonged to the Alaskan Independence Party. It was her husband, Todd, who had been a member.)
McCain’s people trashed Bumiller, saying she had opted to “make up her own version of events.” Steve Schmidt, McCain’s chief strategist, said the Times had written “an absolute work of fiction” about the vetting process while Karl Rove told his Fox News viewers that the Times “got it wrong.”
It turned out that the McCain side misled journalists. Bumiller was right about the vetting. The lesson is that McCain’s counselors are not interested in fair treatment, and they are certainly not interested in the truth.
If the media cave to McCain’s pressure, it will be the third time this decade that conservative attacks led reporters to tilt to the right.
During the 2000 battle over Florida, Al Gore’s perfectly defensible efforts to win a hand recount ran into a buzz saw of criticism from nonpartisan commentators, many of whom urged Gore to withdraw “gracefully.” In the buildup to the Iraq war, the Bush administration and its supporters savaged the patriotism of many who raised questions about its strategy and its plans. Now, McCain hopes Palin will skate through the next two months without any real scrutiny or questioning.
It is hugely unfortunate that the first big story about Palin — other than questions raised about whether she fired the head of the Alaska state police for refusing to dismiss her former brother-in-law — concerned her 17-year-old daughter’s pregnancy. It’s not just that Bristol Palin should be left alone, but also that the intense interest in this story gave McCain’s bullies an excuse to push aside legitimate questions about Palin’s record and knowledge.
Of course, Palin’s handlers are being hypocritical: They want to focus on her family life and her identity as a hockey mom when doing so helps them and to push aside any story that mars this perfect picture. Conservatives are always against identity politics until they are for it.
Nonetheless, what matters is not Palin’s personal life but whether she is prepared to assume the presidency if called upon. The actions of McCain’s lieutenants suggest that they know the answer. And they are doing everything they can to keep the media from finding it.
Sarah Palin is totally inhumane and heartless. She is totally inhuman and has no
feelings for animals.
As a female pit bull mix owner I believe the following….
Pit bulls don’t lie, they are what they are…dangerous beasts if mistreated, beaten and abused….loveable family pets when raised properly. They are honest and don’t try to be something they are not.

The difference between Sarah Palin and my “pit bull”? My “pit bull” will “talk” to reporters!
Joking aside, as an owner of what is callously termed a “pit bull”, but in actuality is an American Staffordshire Terrier in my case, I must say any breed of dog can be a “pit bull”. It only takes its owner to throw it in a pit and force it to fight. And with the bad reputation these loving and loyal pets carry with them, I feel it was an outrageous comparison! These dogs face a stigma every day of their lives and it is sad. Go to your local animal shelter and see for yourself how many of these truly wonderful animals are discarded like yesterday’s garbage. I love taking my dog out in public and seeing fear turn into amazement when people who have never actually met one suddenly realize their preconceived stereotype was way off base!
Sure “pit bulls” are intimidating. And they have a loud bark. Of course there are incidents of attacks and they are portrayed in the media as vicious killers due to ignorant breeders and owners. This is true of any breed. My “pit bull” doesn’t have much of a bite.
But he certainly wouldn’t run and hide when confronted with an uncomfortable situation like Sarah Palin is doing.
Having said that, I know a “pit bull”, and you, Sarah Palin, are no “pit bull”! Since you can’t run with the big dogs, you better get back under that porch!
I’m so glad to have found this blog. Thanks AKMuckraker! Interesting and entertaining reading!
Please don’t encourage gossip – we are feeding the beast.
Unfortunately if these things don’t explode on the net the the media will never pick them up. It almost seems Palin has been given a complete pass by the media. Everything is about her marvelous mothering skills and fertility.
I wonder how staunch conservatives protective of their tax dollars will like her tripling the state aid to special needs at a time when all of our public school children are hanging onto to a halfway decent education by their fingernails. She raised the regular aid 100 dollars. That won’t pay for the damage allegedly done to school buses by vandals.
Yonkers, NY[citation needed] Active City November 3, 2006
Someone needs to tell the pitbulls on that one !
J T (23:35:31) :
Anyone hear if what the animal rights group are saying about Palin?
What have you got against exterminating polar bears?
So Palin asked a librarian about book bans – no books were banned from the Wasilla library.
She asked the librarian about being open to censorship, on more than one occasion, the librarian took a firm stance against her and was fired for her trouble. She was reinstated becaues of popular opinion. Still unproven and conjecture? Maybe, but sounds about right regarding a control freak fundamentalist hellbent on playing to her base. What if the librarian had agreed? Or been replaced by a more pliabe employee? It’s one of those of things I’m grateful didn’t happen, but Palin obviously was up to something dirty.
As with any animal, the personality and aggressive/non-aggressive tendencies are indications of the owner.
Guess the Republicans need to keep this one on a short leash!
P.S. I have a rescue. Part-pit. One of the most wonderful dogs ever! I would never compare her to Palin.

My Pit-mix was a rescue also. She’s a great dog…intelligent, playful. She’s basically a lapdog who is also an athletic gymnast.. She can do flips. She gets along with everybody.
Loved the Michael Palin for President you tube! I miss the Monty Python Movies…..the entire Republican Convention was like watching one! My shouts of laughter were only silenced by the realization that this movie has serious consequences!
Re: carried away with gossip. CNN picked up on that list of allegedly banned books that we, debunked. BUT they did NO follow up story about the firing & restoration of the Wasilla Librarian, because of her unwillingness to ban books!
That has been documented by Anne Kilkeny , one of the 100, who worked to restore the Librarians job!
One of the automatically generated referrals above is for Abuse of Blog Power? Sarah Palin Blasted by the Rumor Mill (it is douggeivett.wordpress.com but I am not posting alink because I don’t want him to get the trackback!)
It is a conservative blast furnace that, among other things, slams AKM and the rest of us for being rumor mills and not checking facts. I posted to them – very non-troll like (IMHO)
” If you had spent as much time on Mudflats as I have you will find that AKMuckraker and the commenters on the blog are more conscientious than most MSM reporters about fact checking. We are also quick to come back with corrections if we are wrong. We ask that you make the same corrections to your statements.”
Unlike the free-speech practiced here at Mudflats, douggeivett.wordpress.com moderates… can’t wait to see if my post is accepted… bets anyone???
Gov. Palin does in fact have one thing in common with a pitbull: “neither is capable of answering questions from reporters.”
That has me in stitches!!! Lol!! Very funny.
LOL, that is really funny. Thanks for the laugh as it is necessary as the MSM keeps yapping about their stupid poll numbers. They never mention that each poll is different. Wait until the bloom is off the Palin rose!! The “neither is capable of answering questions from reporters” really got me laughing. Of course pitbulls ARE able to give their opinions in many different ways, whereas Ms Palin would do well to ZIP it..as in taxpayers supporting Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Someone get her some information. I’m sure that Joe Liberman is pointing out the countries of the world on the globe he gave her as a nomination gift…hehehe
Lipstick line borrowed from Pastor Hagee
Please see link to Washington Post http://voices.washingtonpost.com/sleuth/2008/09/did_palin_borrow_her_lipstick.html
that shows the line was borrowed from the horrible Pastor Hagee, and used in a really offensive way by him about the difference between a doberman pincher and a woman with PMS (or in other incarnations I’ve seen a menopausal woman) being lipstick. Really endearing on so many fronts. Women everywhere should be thrilled with our little Ms Palin.
a spokesperson for the McCain-Palin ticket offered this official statement: “Gov. Palin does in fact have one thing in common with a pitbull: neither is capable of answering questions from reporters.”
Is that suppose to be good? gd McCain’s camp is stupid!!!
hey, gerri — you did the same thing as i did — you skipped the fine print before the headline — it was a fake-news story.
given that the news itself is so bizarre, it’s no wonder that people confuse fake-news with real-news.
i may have felt stupid last night after i posted my “debunking” and realized that it was debunked by AKmuckraker to begin with but, yes, i am very proud that rather than assuming that the mccain campaign really is that stupid i sought out the original story for confirmation.
if it is so easy for me to do, why can’t the media, which gets PAID for this, verify the accuracy of statements?
Apparently getting elected to governor in the State of Alaska is equivalent to being elected president to the student council in high school. You really don’t need to know anything, have cute sayings that don’t offend too many people; “What’s the difference between a pit bull and a hockey mom? Lip Stick!”, and have the prettiest smile. The article below was taken from Think Progress by Satyam on 9/8/08 filed under economy.
Palin’s first gaffe: Claims Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac are taxpayer-funded.»
Speaking in Colorado this weekend, Gov. Sarah Palin tried to explain the recent federal bailout by claiming that lenders Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had “gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers.” The companies, however, “aren’t taxpayer funded but operate as private companies. The takeover may result in a taxpayer bailout during reorganization,” McClatchy noted. Palin’s satement “is somewhat nonsensical because up until yesterday there was sort of no public funding there,” said Andrew Jakobovics of the Center for American Progress Action Fund. “The ‘too expensive to tax payers,’ I don’t know where that comes from.”
Digg It!
I think I will move to Alaska, I really enjoyed the high school experience. They question why the federal government is so involved in their affairs.
Poor “little” pit bull owners trying to compensate for their small d*cks with a big, bad dog.
I suppose when you add the “big” pick-up truck withs its “big” tires and your “big” gun rack – hell your girl doesn’t even notice your little weener.
and like a pitbull she shits and doesn’t clean up after herself..
Actually, this is no joke. I write a blog called Dog Art Today. After Palin’s acceptance speech I posted some funny photos comparing her to a Pit Bull based — of course — on her joke. Some of my readers were very offended with her (and some were even offended with me, not understanding that I was taking my cue from her own description of herself).
Here is the post I wrote. You will see in the comments section that I definitely ruffled some feathers. And I can completely understand it. You don’t endear yourself to people by insulting their dogs! Duh.

Here is another blogger upset about her pit bull remark (again look at the comments section). People are honestly offended.

I have been looking for sites for pitbull owners who took offense to Ms. Palin using the Pit bull reference. I own two pit bulls who are 9 yrs old I have had them since they were 8 wks. Both of them are loving and loyal. Not a lying deceiver like Palin. I am offended that she would put herself in the same class as my two adorable pit bulls!!!
@Moira: Thanks for the shout out!! Since then, more “dog” references…

This woman downgraded the Women Movement in that interview. Charlie Gibson had to be soft and gentle with her. This has the potential to be a backlash on women in power in the future. Equality should extend to the press. This woman is not qualified to be VP. If she cannot have an interview without days of prepping, then go figure. By the way, they should prep her on expanding her limited vocabulary
